There are two ways to connect your HyperX cloud Stinger on PC.
1. Connecting via Headset Jack
Step 1: Plug the 4-pole 3.5mm connector at the end of the 3ft attached audio cable into your HyperX Cloud Stinger’s headset jack.
Step 2: Plug your PC’s regular headphone jack into the other end of the attached audio cable. The green LED on your Stinger will light up when successfully connected to the computer’s sound card.
Step 3: Select ‘HyperX Cloud Stinger’ as your default device in Windows or Mac OS X operating system settings, then set your sound preferences for that device under the Sound/Playback/Recording tabs within each operating system.
2. Connecting via Micro USB (cable is included in the box)
1. Plug your Stinger’s Micro USB connector into any free USB port on your PC, then plug your PC’s regular headphone jack into the other end of the attached audio cable. The green LED on your Stinger will light up when successfully connected to the computer’s sound card.
2. Select ‘HyperX Cloud Stinger’ as your default device in Windows or Mac OS X operating system settings, then set your sound preferences for that device under the Sound/Playback/Recording tabs within each operating system.
Notes: If you are using a desktop computer with 5x 3.5mm ports, it may be easier to switch ports if your Stinger USB soundcard frequently disconnects.
For optimal audio performance, the volume level of the headset should be set between 1/3rd and 2/3rd volume on both PC and game console. Adjust the game console’s volume settings first, then adjust the volume level of the Cloud Stinger headset accordingly.
